Along with today’s newsletter, you will receive a copy of St Gabriel’s OFSTED inspection report. As you will see, we are a “Good School” with some outstanding elements. (Please note that Page 11 is the separate letter to the children). FANTASTIC NEWS!! I wish to thank all of the staff and children for working so hard to ensure that we are recognised for the good work that we do. Thanks also to all of you for your continued support of St Gabriel’s. As a Catholic school, we will have a separate RE OFSTED inspection and this will take place after half term on 29th February and 1st March.
MR HAYES Mr Hayes’ eye is recovering well and he is hoping to return to school tomorrow. He wishes to thank you all for your kind words and prayers
MASS OF COMMITMENT Thank you to all the families who came along to the Mass of Commitment for the Confirmation children on Sunday.
PHOTO AND VIDEO PERMISSION LETTERS Thanks to all those parents who have returned these forms. Please do complete and return them to the office as soon as possible if you haven’t – spare copies will be available.
YEAR 3 MASS Tomorrow morning at 9.30am there is a Year 3 Mass. Please come along and celebrate with your child if you are able.
PARENTS’ EVENINGS Today you should receive your appointment slip for parents’ evening. These are taking place on Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th February from 4 – 5pm and 5.30 – 7.30pm. If you haven’t yet requested an appointment one will automatically be sent to you – please make every effort to attend as it is such an important opportunity to discuss your child’s progress in school. If you can’t attend your appointment please inform your child’s teacher as soon as possible.
