Summer Fayre

I thought last Saturday was a real success. There was a steady flow of people all through the 3 hours. Thanks to all of you who were able to come and support the day. Well done to the many parents, staff and friends who helped out in so many ways. We raised around £1,500 – our best total for years. Special thanks to Mrs Wilson and all her team for much work in the preparation.

We still have 1 unclaimed raffle price – blue ticket number 91, please see the office to claim your prize.

OFSTED Interim Assessment – GOOD NEWS

Coming home attached to the newsletter today is an important letter from OFSTED.

Please read the letter carefully. It was sent to us yesterday, July 14th.

It explains the result of an interim assessment carried out on the performance of our school.

You will be delighted to learn that our school’s good performance has been sustained, following consideration of a range of factors. My thanks to all the staff, pupils and parents who work together to make our school, a good school.

This notification is not something to make any of us complacent. We must return in September, ready to work to the best of our abilities, to make our school the best place it can be for each and every one of us.

The children will bring their end of year reports home with them tomorrow. Can I please ask that they be respected and opened at home. Pre-School and After School

As you already know our pre-school closes for the summer tomorrow (Friday) and will re-open in September in the Sacred Heart Church. Over the summer holidays Gabriel’s Angels will also run from the Sacred Heart Church.

Friday 16th – Diabetes Day

Just to bring to your attention again – Friday 16th will be a non uniform day to raise funds for Diabetes Awareness. Please send a contribution with your child.

Can I please ask the children to wear blue and white to school. There will be a number of activities run in school to raise awareness of diabetes. Year 6 pupils are setting up a toy stall. Parental Support - Can I again draw your attention to available support.

Through Tamworth Community and Learning Partnerships, you may wish to take up help or advice from local Parent Support Workers. Any parent wishing for FREE assistance in “removing barriers” to help raise your child’s learning progress should consider it. This could be attendance, behaviour, meeting other parents, positive parenting programme classes and information. All support is anonymous or through the school if you wish. Please contact Miss Taylor at school, or Denise Hill, Parent Support Worker on 0781 7547191. Can I also remind you Miss Taylor is available on Thursdays to discuss inclusion issues. Thanks
