SUMMER HOLIDAYS COMING TO A CLOSEOnce again we come to the end of the summer holidays with the schools opening. Hope you all had a good rest and enjoyed the holidays. The beginning of the school year invites us to recommit ourselves again to the call of Jesus in our lives and to be aware that we are called to be witnesses of His love for all. We focus on the work, commitment and dedication of the staff of our two schools and acknowledge with deep gratitude their faith, and the love and professionalism with which they teach our children. On behalf of the parish community I welcome the new staff members to our schools and the children who will be joining us for the first time. The ethos of our Catholic Schools must be a nucleus within which parents, staff, and children experience care and acceptance in the context of God’s love for all. With this in mind we, the parish community celebrate the gift of our schools and place them in our prayers as they begin another academic year. I pray that we together as a parish community may continue to live our lives in the light of Gods love for all people, and continue on our journey celebrating the Gift we are to each other as we live our Christian lives here in the community of Tamworth.

Papal Visit HandbooksThe Handbook for the Papal Visit is being distributed throughout England, Scotland and Wales over the coming weekends. For those attending a Papal Mass or the Hyde Park Vigil, please do make sure you take a copy. Although there are not copies for everyone, there are enough for ONE HANDBOOK PER FAMILY OR HOUSEHOLD. We would like to invite you to make a donation towards the Handbook if you are able. £2-00 per copy would help to cover the costs. Please use the Handbook when following the Pope’s visit on television or the internet.
PLEASE NOTE
To everyone who is going to the Mass at Crofton Park, Handbooks will be avalable on the coach. | |
